middle age has never looked less fun

wanobe.jpgRemember last year, when Facebook was hip and cool? Before you got a friend request from your mother, sending you into an existential crisis? What's more hurtful to the matriarch: refusing to befriend her online or permitting her to see that you saw fit to include 'I touch chickens' in your list of interests?
Fortunately, the 'book itself advised me today of one way to make a mum happy: it's WanobeCom, 'Facebook for your parents'! Skimming over the site's content - a poll on the joys of retirement, a piece about the risks high blood pressure - will surely make you realise that the very least you can do to keep some light in the life of your mother is to allow her unfettered access to the 219 photos that your 'friends' have posted of you splashing about in puddles of alcohol.
